Innisfail is nestled in the heart of Red Deer County, and is 30 km south of Red Deer. Alberta's two major cities are an easy driving distance away, with Edmonton being 176 km to the north, and Calgary a short 117 km to the south. Other municipalities close by include Penhold, Springbrook, Olds, Bowden, Dickson and Markerville.
